I'm turning 50 and it’s time to celebrate!

What’s happening?

Friday evening - casual drinks and mezze at Santorinia Tavern from 6pm onwards.

Feel free to stop by if you like and stay for as little or long as you like!

I will be offering some yummy mezze to eat and you can grab your own drinks.

Saturday - boat trip from 10am-3pm

For those of you who have signed up, look out for more details in the WhatsApp group.

The trip includes hotel transfers, BBQ on board, open bar, snorkelling gear and some island hopping!

Saturday evening - THE PARTY!

The party will start from 6pm at Kaliya Restaurant - come early if you want to catch the sunset!

Food and drinks will be served throughout the evening (but there is no sit-down meal).

For those who want to continue on afterwards and have a bit of a boogy, we will be heading to the club Enigma afterwards

(either when we feel like it or when the restaurant kicks us out!).

Sunday afternoon - a hike with a view!

If you’re feeling energetic, I’ve planned a 2.5 walk that includes a walk up to a gorgeous viewpoint with stops along the way.

What’s the dress code?

Dress code for the party on Saturday night is “Santorini vibes” so do with that what you will.

The dress code for everything else is wear whatever you like!

When will I be there?

I arrive early Thursday evening (1st October) and will leave late Monday afternoon (5th October). I’ll be staying at Katikies Garden Hotel in Fira.

Who is paying for what?

The party is on me and I’ll feed whoever shows up on the Friday night but I’ll leave the rest up to you!

What WhatsApp groups am I talking about?

I’ve created a WhatsApp community and some separate sub-groups for the different activities so I can keep you updated on stuff that’s important when you need it.

What’s on my gift wish list?

Seriously people, I don’t need anything. If I can see your happy face on the day that will be more than enough for me! Also - I’m cheap and probably won’t even have checked luggage so don’t buy me anything. Please.

Why Santorini?

Because it’s been on my travel bucket list for a very long time and I’ve never made it there - partly because the idea of loads of crowds in the summer season didn’t appeal to me so when my clever daughter suggested going there in the slightly-off-season of October for my 50th, it was a quick decision!

When is my actual birthday?

I’m sure you’ve all committed it to memory but just as a reminder, my actual birthday is not until 22nd October but most of Santorini will be closed down by then so I’m sneaking the celebrations in a little early!
